We have completed our survey of the congregation as well as the analysis of the information gathered. The enclosed report (pdf) summarizes our findings and recommendations.

In our survey, we found West Side’s strengths to far outweigh its weaknesses. As such, we believe that by focusing on our strengths, as we pay attention to our weaknesses; will enable us to continue growing a healthy congregation. Our reasoning is based on three points:

  1. People and organizations get their best results when operating in their areas of strength.

  2. West Side is a healthy church, with a congregation size in the upper 9% of all congregations within our denomination.

  3. People attend a church for its perceived strengths, not its weaknesses.

For this reason you will find that we have identified, and listed, a number of strengths that we believe can be built upon. We have also identified areas of concern that merit discussion. The first two pages of the report will provide this listing to you. The following pages provide background, results and demographic information to support the first two pages.

There is a great amount of detail information in the survey that we were not able to supply to you in a short report. If you desire additional information that is available to us, we would be happy to provide it to you.

Respectfully Submitted
