CONNECTIONS…Building for Community
Investing in God’s Future for West Side

In Luke 19, Jesus told the story of a wealthy man who entrusted his assets to his servants and then left on a journey. On his return, he asked the servants what they had done with his assets. Two of them had invested wisely and doubled the amount invested. Another servant, fearful of his master’s expectations, had simply wasted the opportunity of investment and buried the assets entrusted to him in the ground for safe keeping. The two servants were commended and rewarded, the other servant was chastised.

Luke 19:12-26, The Message
All that we possess and enjoy, our time, abilities, energy and wealth, we hold in trust from the Lord. God grant us grace to invest time, abilities, energies and money in God’s (YOUR?) ongoing work at West Side.

Prayer:

Thank you, God, for what you are doing at West Side.

Thank you that you want to use me at West Side.

Please guide me in investing my time, abilities, energies and assets at West Side.

Please bless and strengthen the community of believers at West Side.

Please help us to build bridges of community to West Seattle and beyond.

Don and Martha Wilson
