Food Drive - White Center Food Bank
Julianna Carlson read an email about how the demand for food assistance is rising at an extraordinary rate, just as our local food banks are being struck by shortages of donated food. An idea began to form – a food drive to support the White Center Food Bank!
Julianna volunteers with our youth and knows that our students are looking for ways they can serve during this pandemic. Her idea … let’s mobilize our youth and our broader West Side congregation in a way that conforms with COVID-19 guidelines.
Students will operate a pickup and delivery service. Members can purchase extra food items (see guidelines below), notify Stacy that items are available for pickup (stacy@wspc.org), and leave the donations out on your porch. Students will collect items and deliver them to the food bank! Easy peasy!
