Opportunities available
- DON’T “FALL” OUT IF THE SCRIP HABIT! – The mission trip to the
Dominican Republic is over, but our youth program goes year round. You can
help fund these activities painlessly by using scrip for your everyday
purchases. We have scrip cards in stock for Safeway, Met Market, QFC/Fred
Meyer, West Seattle Thriftway, PCC, Target, Taco Time and Starbucks, and
there are hundreds of others available to order. Scrip is available in the
church office weekdays and Sunday, and is a great way to manage your
budget AND simplify your shopping.
- THE CHURCH WELCOME Office - The Welcome Office is looking for
people who would be willing to be substitutes from time to time, to greet
and welcome people coming into the church. If this would be a good place
for ministry for you, please call Nancy
Fuhrman**.
- SMALL
GROUPS - Did you know that West Side sponsors over 20 small
groups consisting of anywhere from four to twelve people in each group?
They meet regularly in homes or at church, study God's Word, pray for
each other and reach out to others. If you would like to participate or
just find out more, please contact the church office, 935-4477, or office@wspc.org.

Community ministry
- ALZHEIMER’S CAREGIVER SUPPORT GROUPS - You are invited to
be part of this support group for family members and friends who
provide care for a person with memory loss. They meet the first
Tuesday of each month from 7:00-8:30pm at Providence Mt. St. Vincent
(4831 35th SW). For more information contact Maggie Sparks
(206-920-4706).
- FRIEND TO FRIEND - Americans share a wonderful heritage.
Fortunate are those who have parents, grandparents, and
great-grandparents close at hand. A treasure house of stories,
experiences, and wisdom can be passed on when young and old can come
together. Friend To Friend is a one-to-one visitation program that
matches volunteers in the community with residents in local nursing
homes and assisted living communities. If you would like to increase
your “family ties” call 206-870-4266 or 1-888-FTF-7818 or email
marilyn@friendtofriendamerica.org for more information.
Romans 12:13 -- Share with God's people in need, practice hospitality.
