  • SCRIP PURCHASES HELP OUR KIDS – West Side supports our youth programs in many ways, and you can help defray the cost of retreats and outings by using scrip to purchase items ranging from groceries to hotel rooms. Scrip cards and certificates are purchased by West Side at a discount, you purchase them at face value, and our youth benefit from the profit. Safeway, Metropolitan Market, QFC/Fred Meyer, PCC, Starbucks, McDonald’s, and Taco Time scrip are in stock and available for purchase in the office during the week and on Sunday. Hundreds of others are available to order, pick up a list in the church office!

  • MUSIC OPPORTUNITY AT THE MOUNT – The Protestant congregation which meets each Sunday at 3:30pm in the Chapel at Mount St. Vincent would love to have some type of music accompaniment at their services (piano, guitar, trumpet, flute, etc.). Please consider sharing your musical talent with this growing congregation lead by Chaplin Rudy Krueger. For more information contact Sandy Rose at 937-3700 ext. 33321.

  • LOOKING FOR A PLACE TO VOLUNTEER? Do you like to make folks feel welcomed when they come to the house of the Lord? Do you enjoy greeting new people as well as old friends? Our new main floor greeting office offers a new opportunity for you to use your gifts of hospitality and encouragement. Would you consider giving 3-4 hours either one morning a week or one afternoon a week as a “welcome volunteer” in our new main floor office? Or perhaps you would prefer Sunday mornings! We are looking for 4-8 individuals who will rotate throughout the week and on Sunday mornings at our new welcome station. Maybe you know this is perfect for you, or maybe you would like to just give it a try for a time. Please contact Karol (935-4477), karol@wspc.org, or write “welcome” on the back of your attendance card.

  • SMALL GROUPS - Did you know that West Side sponsors over 20 small groups consisting of anywhere from four to twelve people in each group? They meet regularly in homes or at church, study God's Word, pray for each other and reach out to others. If you would like to participate or just find out more, please contact the church office, 935-4477, or office@wspc.org.

Community ministry

City Team Ministries has grown since West Side started helping five years ago, from only two ministries--one in San Jose California and the other here in Seattle--to six major cities in the USA and in seven foreign countries. This ministry has turned many lives around and helped thousands of desperate men come to the Lord and now are disciples of Christ. Please go to City Team web site and look under Seattle to see how you can help with volunteer opportunities, mentors, prayer and prayer coordinators, special projects, medical van help, and a long list of ongoing needs.

City Team Ministries -- How Can you help?

We can always use men's clothing in good shape. West Side has committed to helping serve meals, chapel and music service once a month every third Saturday evening, we are looking for small groups, bible study groups. Social fellowship groups, anyone who would like to serve God's people in need. Come on down with us one of these Saturday evenings. You will feel good!

Romans 12:13 -- Share with God's people in need, practice hospitality.

In Christ
