New Facilities Manager! We are pleased to welcome to our staff Ed Snyder as our new Facilities Manager. Ed brings with him a host of skills having built 24 houses and as a retired elementary school teacher. Ed is a member of West Side who is currently serving as an elder with responsibilities for Community Outreach and sings bass in our chancel choir. Welcome Ed! Host an International Student – Weekend Homestay, sponsored by International Students, Inc., is an opportunity to open your heart and home to an international student the weekend of October 11-12. Extending friendship to these students fills one of their greatest needs while they provide us a “window” to the rest of the world. For information on hosting a student contact Deb at 206-795-7677 or deb_316@hotmail.com. The Outreach Department Justice Issues Group - The focus for October's donation box is warm clean blankets and clean sleeping bags. These will be distributed to Family Promise, Union Gospel (women's shelter), CityTeam (men’s shelter) and where needed. More of this week's bulletin announcements... ** Please consult your church phone directory or call the church office at 935-4477. |
