#1 Student Activities
Our Adult Volunteers and I are making a concerted effort to see students in
action! But we need help gathering times and dates of events, games,
performances, etc. Please remember us when you get information about your
student’s activities. We will also be calling to collect information in the
coming months.
#2 Parent Gathering—Thank you!
It was a great joy to meet with all of you on January 15th! I hope you were
encouraged and enjoyed the discussion. Mark your calendars now for our next
Gathering on Wednesday, April 9th at 7pm.
#3 Garage Sale
We have begun collections for our Gigantic Garage Sale! You can bring your
donations to church anytime between now and March 9th. I will have a sign up for
student help the week of March 9th-15th. By helping with the Sale, Students will
earn coupons towards their cost of MDR 2008. We also need many adult hands to
help with the Sale—remember all proceeds allow us to charge only $80 for MDR
instead of almost $200!!
#4 World Awareness Weekend (30 Hour Famine)
In addition to the 30 Hour Famine, the high school students will be expanding
their awareness and involvement in the world through World Awareness Weekend.
The dates are the same, February 22-23. Students can collect money for the 30
Hour Famine, fasting is optional, but we will also be exploring International
Justice Mission and Loose Change to Loosen Chains.
#5 Memorial Day Retreat 2008!!
I’m so excited!! We have all the big pieces together for our annual weekend at

program staff. You won’t even have to see your student!
#6 Welcome Sarah Packard!!
I’m thrilled that Sarah Packard has started as our Youth Intern until June. She

school program, especially at Pipeline on Wednesday nights. She brings a ton of
energy and love to serve others.
#7 Check out CPYU.ORG!
Is your student’s culture a complete mystery to you? Here’s a great resource for

students are dealing with every day!
