Welcome to West Side MOPS!

Welcoming Mothers with Infants through Pre-School Age

The first MOPS meeting of the year is on Friday, October 2, 2009.
We meet on the first and third Fridays each month October through May (with childcare for registered moms).

About Us

West Side MOPS (Mothers-of-Preschoolers) is a support group for mothers of young children that has been an actively serving West Seattle for 20 years! We recognize the incredibly important task that mothers are taking on and offer them a unique opportunity by providing a 2-hour retreat that includes childcare. It’s a chance for worn-out mothers to relax, enjoy a snack, an uninterrupted conversation, and to receive encouragement from our mentor moms. It’s also a wonderful place to forge friendships with other women who can empathize about these challenging preschool years.

Registration begins April 17th for the coming Fall when we'll reconvene the first Friday in October to delve into our new theme, "Together on Planet Mom" which will focus on our relationships and how they change when you become a mom. We will explore how to navigate old and new relationships on Planet Mom, and look at how as women and moms you can continue to thrive and flourish even if you feel lost in space sometimes!

We meet twice a month at West Side Presbyterian Church in West Seattle. We meet formally October thru May, the first and third Friday of the month from approximately 9 a.m. until 11 a.m.

Childcare is provided by West Side Presbyterian volunteers, whom we lovingly refer to as our MOPPETS Helpers. Moms drop off the children in their pre-assigned MOPPETS rooms anytime after 9 a.m. and then join the group in Howell Auditorium for some much-needed Mom Time!

West Side MOPS is a member of MOPS international.

MOPS is a support group for mothers of young children.

MOPS provides moms a two hour retreat that includes childcare.

MOPS is a wonderful place to forge friendships with other women who can empathize about these challenging preschool years.
