Chris has
served as Organist for West Side since March 2010, sharing the
accompaniment of West Side’s Centennial Celebration Worship service
with out-going Sandra Dahl. As organist, Chris sets the tone for
worship with meditative preludes, accompanies the congregation and
choir during worship, and ushers worshippers into the week ahead with
postludes of praise for the glory and majesty of God. He also plays
for special events and services when needed. With Bachelor and Master
of Music degrees from Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, Chris is
currently a candidate for Doctor of the Musical Arts degree at the
University of Washington. When not playing the organ, Chris enjoys
model railroading, cooking, and baking. |
